“Let It Snow”…

It’s always interesting when people list “Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow” as one of their favorite Christmas songs. In reality, the song makes no mention of the holiday at all. In fact, it wasn’t even written in the winter! On the hottest day of the year, way back in the 1940’s, lyricist Sammy Cahn and Broadway songwriter Jule Styne were contemplating ways to “cool off” in sunny California. Rather than heading to the pool, they decided to write a song about cold weather.  Their creation would become one of the most recognized tunes in music history.…
