Thief steals photos of daughter who died of flu

TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — A Tacoma mom is trying to get back as many as 5,000 photos of her daughter who died of the flu in December.

KOMO-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1QEVbJ6 ) Rebecca Taylor has tried to reach the thief who stole her phone, which contained photos and videos of her 5-year-old daughter Scarlett.

Taylor pleaded to the thief in a post on her Facebook page, saying that the thief could keep her phone, but asked if the phone’s memory card could be mailed to her.

Taylor says she also needs the photos to continue with a cause in Scarlett’s name. She started the “Flight the Flu Foundation” to educate parents about getting their kids vaccinated for the flu.
