Schedule, notable attendees for Muhammad Ali memorial

A schedule of events and notable attendees expected for Muhammad Ali’s memorial on Friday in Louisville, Kentucky:

— 7:30 a.m. — Shuttles begin for attendees from the Kentucky Exposition Center to the KFC Yum! Center, where the public memorial will be held.

— 9 a.m. — The procession begins from A.D. Porter & Sons Funeral Home, north to the Watterson Expressway. It will move past the Muhammad Ali Center, make its way onto Muhammad Ali Boulevard and then go west to the neighborhood where Ali grew up. People are expected to line the route on surface streets as the procession makes its way through downtown.

— 11 a.m. or noon (estimated) — The procession makes its way to Cave Hill Cemetery for a private burial.

— 12 p.m. — Doors open at KFC Yum! Center for public funeral.

— 2 p.m. — Memorial begins. Eulogies expected by former President Bill Clinton, comedian/actor Billy Crystal, television journalist Bryant Gumbel and others.
