East Carolina dismisses OL Williams for rules violation

GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) — East Carolina has dismissed sophomore offensive lineman Larry Williams from the team for violating unspecified team rules.

Coach Ruffin McNeill announced the dismissal Tuesday.

McNeill says Williams’ “actions force the loss of a privilege, which in this case is being a part of our team.”

Williams came to East Carolina from Wilmington Laney High School and played in all 13 games last season as a redshirt freshman, mostly on special teams.
