2 Tyrrell County inmates charged with drugs

COLUMBIA, N.C. (WNCT) — Two inmates were charged with possession of controlled substance on prison premises Monday, the Tyrrell County Sheriff’s Office said.

Xavier Johnson, 40, was charged with possession of suboxone.

Jahmel Ross, 25, was charged with possession of marijuana.

Tyrrell Prison Work Farm has charged thirty inmates with drug offenses since May.

The investigation is still ongoing.
