School board votes to reopen Princeville Elementary after Matthew damage

PRINCEVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The Edgecombe County Board of Education has voted to reopen Princeville Elementary School.

The school was severely damaged during Hurricane Matthew.

Mayor Pro-Tem Linda Joyner said they aim to open the school by August 2018.

If that is not doable, the goal is to have it open by December 2018.

It will serve grades K-5
