Governor Cooper supports Trump on national opioid crisis

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WNCT) — Following President Trump’s declaration on Thursday, Governor Roy Cooper released a statement about the opioid crisis happening in America.

“It will help further the efforts we are already taking as a part of North Carolina’s state action plan, and we will investigate our options as a state,” said Governor Cooper.

In Wilmington on Thursday, the governor held a drug overdose prevention training session for law enforcement officers.
