Jacksonville PD investigating shooting on Elm St.

Jacksonville Police are investigating a person shot on Elm Street Wednesday night.

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Jacksonville Police are investigating a shooting on Elm Street that left one person shot.

It happened around 7:18 Wednesday night. Police responded to 521 Elm Street and found a 37 year old black man shot. Their investigation found an argument between several people had taken place.

The victim was taken to Onlsow Memorial Hospital and flown to New Hanover Regional Medical Center. No information about his condition has been released.

Police are looking for a suspect, who fled on foot. He’s described as a black male, with a dark complexion, 5 ft 11 inches tall, 120-130 pounds, with short hair. At the time he was wearing a bright neon green shirt.
