Severe weather hits eastern North Carolina, causes flooding

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Tornado warnings and heavy rains that flooded roads hit parts of eastern North Carolina Friday night.

Tornado warnings — now expired — went into effect in Pitt, Lenoir and Duplin counties, and heavy wind and rains buffeted the area.
