Fans packed Tiebreakers Sports Bar and Grill to cheer on the team this afternoon. Although disappointed with the lost, many said they were still very ecstatic that they made it as far as they did.

They said it is a once in a lifetime opportunity they know the boys won’t forget.

“I feel like a parent, live and die, every pitch,” said fan, Kelby Thorndyke. “I’m just so proud of what they’ve done and where they’re going and how they’re representing our city.”

“It’s exciting,” said fan, Holton Ahlers. “I mean you know, not only for Greenville, not only for North Carolina — honestly the whole U.S., the whole southeast, and this whole city really.”

Fans will gather again tomorrow to watch the team play Mexico. They say they will support them through and through, and are excited to celebrate their success on Wednesday.
