North State punches ticket to Little League World Series, set to arrive back at Elm Street Thursday at 6pm

WARNER ROBINS, GA  (WNCT) Greenville North State is headed to Williamsport and the 2017 Little League World Series.

North State beat Peachtree City, Georgia today, 8-6 in the Southeast Region championship game.

Bryce Jackson hit a 3-run home run in the 2nd inning and Thomas Barrett drove home two in the 4th to lead the offense.

Matthew Matthijs got the win in relief. He pitched 5 2/3 innings, striking out ten while giving up just three runs.

Greenville North State opens play in the Little League World Series against the Midwest champions on Friday night, August 18th at 8pm.

9 on your side Sports will be in Williamsport for complete coverage of North State in Williamsport. The team will arrive back at Elm Street Park on Thursday at 6pm.
