Gov. Cooper to discuss Hurricane Matthew recovery efforts in Windsor

WINDSOR, N.C. (WNCT) – Governor Roy Cooper heads to Bertie County Tuesday to talk about Hurricane Matthew recovery efforts.

He’s expected to meet with local officials in Windsor beginning around 1:30. He’ll also visit a home of a survivor of the disaster.

Last fall, the area dealt with massive flooding events before Hurricane Matthew even hit.

Dozens of families are still working to repair their homes and properties.
