Duplin County Animal Services in urgent need of cat adoptions

KENANSVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Duplin County Animal Services is in urgent need of adoptions after completely running out of space for cats at the shelter.

The shelter currently has more than 40 cats, some of which are pregnant. Seven cats have litters of kittens ranging from two to five weeks old.

The shelter is urging folks to come out and adopt. It costs $95 for males and $105 for females. Those fees include vaccines and spay/neuters.

If you would like to adopt, head to their Facebook page for more information on how to do so.

Also, the shelter is holding a fundraiser on June 24th at the Duplin County Events Center. Tickets cost $25 and doors open at 5:30 pm. The event will benefit the construction of a new shelter.

The ticket price includes dinner and the opportunity to win prizes like jewelry. You can buy tickets at the county shelter, Warsaw Animal Hospital or Wallace Animal Hospital.
