Boat struck by Beaufort drawbridge

BEAUFORT, N.C. (WNCT) — A boat traveling under the Beaufort drawbridge was hit as it was being lowered Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.

According to a report, the operator didn’t see the boat, and the bridge hit the outriggers of the boat.

There was no damage to the bridge of the boat, and it was able to sail away.

No injuries were reported.
