Pitt County students set to compete in robotics competition

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Two robots are set to compete in the 2016 robotics theme competition in Pitt County.

They were unveiled Monday night at C.M. Eppes Middle School.

The robots are the handiwork of two teams of local high school students.

The teams include students from all high schools in Pitt County, including private and home schools.

“Engineering is where the future is heading, and it’s showing a lot of promise and teaching kids the importance of learning and a lot of different life lessons,” said Gabriel Glosson, a high school junior.

Students have until midnight to make changes to their robots.

Then they will be sealed until the first regional competition.

That is happening at South Central High School on March 4 and 5.
