WILLIAMSTON, N.C. (WNCT) – The Williamston community came together today to remember the lives of the victims of a double homicide.
Taylor Caroll and Dawn Boswell’s bodies were found in a well near Williamston earlier this month.
Saturday friends and family were able to say their goodbyes.
During the service there was prayer and singing to remember the pair.
Many people described them as loving and caring.
Although there has been progress made in their case many family and friends are still trying to grasp what happened.
Some say today is the start of closure.
They say going forward is the hardest part.
“Hang on, that everything will be ok in the long run and if you can find forgiveness in your heart,” said neighbor Dot Connor.
“Don’t forget my babies, please don’t forget my babies, yal have been great up to this point everyone has and I just don’t want them forgotten,” pleaded grandmother and mother of the pair Debbie Jonez.
Dawn’s estranged husband Jeffery ward is charged with two counts murder and his brother Jerrett ward is charged with accessory after the fact.
