Greenville baseball gives city large donation for Hurricane Matthew relief

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – During Monday’s Greenville City Council meeting, Greenville Baseball Gives presented the city with a check for $10,000 to help with Hurricane Matthew relief.

The money was raised during a special tournament over the weekend. Organizers of the effort said it was a way to teach young players the importance of giving back to their community.

They said they hope to make it an annual event to raise money for worthy causes.
