GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – A group of people from East Carolina University and other local organizations gathered Wednesday morning in Greenville to make sure communities are getting the proper care and treatment.
The program is called the Coastal Health Initiative.
North Carolina Agromedicine Institute associate director Lamar Grafft said meetings like this are beneficial.
“It has a lot of folks here with a lot of different backgrounds, and they are wanting to research and do outreach programs so my take away is it is a great place to network,” said Grafft.
Grafft said the meeting also allowed him to meet people he has never met and build connections and relationships with people working toward the same goal.
The goal of the program is to get people’s health improved throughout the region.
