La Grange kicks off Christmas season with annual parade

LA GRANGE, N.C. (WNCT) – Hundreds of people gathered in La Grange this afternoon to kick-off the holiday season with their annual Christmas parade.

Nearly 250 acts strolled down Railroad Street.

La Grange chamber of commerce member, Jeff Howard, said each year this is the perfect way to bring the community together.

“We feel like it’s the start of the Christmas season and certainly in the Christmas season we are just giving thanks. And it pulls the community together. It’s right after the harvest basically which was how La grange was named in the garden spot,” said Howard

Howard said the chamber represents local businesses in their town and they want to use the parade each year as a thank you for all their hard work.
