JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Tuesday is the last day for Onslow County residents to fill out applications for Christmas Cheer.
The annual event ensures children receive presents for Christmas who may not otherwise.
2,500 children received toys from the program last year.
Organizers are expecting that number to grow this holiday and need your help to make it happen.
“We support our children with toys, bicycles,” said Theo McClammy, Onslow Community Outreach. “We support the whole family with food and we exist through the donations of persons who want to contribute to their community to help families during Christmas.”
Beginning December 17th, families approved for the program will be allowed to shop for free for toys at the community outreach building for their kids.
