Arrest made in string of Greenville armed robberies

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Greenville Police have arrested a man they say is responsible for a string of armed robberies in Greenville.

Greenville Police arrested 26-year-old Anterrio Bright of Grifton and charged him with kidnapping and robbery stemming from a November 5 incident.

According to police, Bright was stopped early Saturday morning. The car had fake plates, and after searching it, police found a handgun and ski mask inside.

At least three robberies have occurred in the Lyndale neighborhood over the last month between the hours of 9 p.m. and 1 a.m.

Police said additional charges against Bright are likely.

He was booked at the Pitt County Detention Center under a $500,000 bond.
