GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – The Republican Women of Pitt County held their first monthly luncheon since Election Day.
They called it their victory luncheon, and close to 30 men and women gathered to discuss post-election issues and dine on a pre-thanksgiving lunch.
The group’s president Beth Capillary said they also discussed what lies ahead for the party for the next four years.
Capillary said she wants the transition to be peaceful.
“I’m very concerned about some of the negative things that are out there about the Republican Party when really the Republican Party has always been the party that has fought racism,” Capillary said.
Capillary said the governor’s race is still of utmost importance.
