Seven Springs man charged with antique thefts

SEVEN SPRINGS, N.C. (WNCT) – A Seven Springs man faces charges of stealing antiques from two Wayne County homes, deputies said.

Christopher Alphin, 38, was charged with multiple counts of breaking and entering and larceny.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said Alphin ransacked an unoccupied Seven Springs home on November 8 and took an antique Hoosier cabinet.

Alphin also stole multiple antiques from a home in the Rosewood community on September 9, deputies said.

The Sheriff’s Office said items stolen during the Seven Springs theft were found in a Selma pawn shop and returned to their owner. The items taken during the Rosewood theft were also recovered and returned to their owner.
