COLINGTON, N.C. (WNCT) – The Dare County Narcotics Task Force made two drug-related arrests over the past two weeks.

Deputies said Randy Vickers, 61, was transporting heroin from Virginia to Dare County to sell.

Vickers was arrested during a traffic stop, and deputies said they seized heroin and cash during the search.

Vickers faces felony heroin charges and is being held in lieu of $75,000 bail.

In an unrelated incident, the Task Force arrested another Colington man they said was selling marijuana.

Rayven Walters, 23, of Colington faces felony charges of selling marijuana after deputies executed a search warrant at his home on November 3.

Deputies said their investigation into Walters started because Dare County citizens made calls when they noticed something was not right.
