Police: Goldsboro man charged with kidnapping, assault with ashtray

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCT) – A Goldsboro man has been charged with kidnapping after police said he assaulted victims with an ashtray and, armed with a knife, refused to let them leave his home.

Anthony Jackson, 43, also faces assault charges in the incident, officers said.

The Goldsboro Police Department said the victims, Nathan Breshears and Linzi Page, were transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Jackson was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $300,000 bail.
