N.C. Utilities Commission warns of unauthorized movers

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – In the wake of Hurricane Matthew, North Carolina Utilities Commission is warning consumers not to hire household goods movers who lack authority from the commission.

Certified household good movers must sub criminal history record checks to the Commission and provide evidence of vehicle, cargo, and general liability insurance.

To find a certified household good move for an intrastate move, you can contact the Public Staff Transportation hotline at 919-733-7766.
