Lenoir deputies seek public’s help locating robbery suspect

GRIFTON, N.C. (WNCT) – The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help locating a suspect in a robbery that took place in Grifton.

Detectives are looking for Roderick Forbes Jr., who is described as a 6-foot-tall, 20-year-old black man they said is known to live in the Grifton and Pitt County areas.

The robbery took place at a residence on Den Drive in Grifton on November 1, deputies said.

There are outstanding warrants for the arrest of Forbes on charges of attempted armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and felony breaking and entering.

Lenoir County Crime Stoppers asks anyone with information regarding the suspect’s location to call them at 252-523-4444 or the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office at 252-559-6100.
