Goldsboro Police conducting death investigation

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCT) – The Goldsboro Police Department says a man was shot and killed while he was assaulting his spouse.

It happened around six o’clock on Friday.

Police say officers were called the 400 block of Benton Street in reference to a person shot. When officers arrived they found 28-year-old Sudon Williams suffering from a gunshot wound.

Goldsboro Police say Williams was taken to the hospital where he died.

Police say a preliminary investigation revealed Williams was shot while he was assaulting his spouse.

GPD says the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Goldsboro Police Department at 919-580-4200.
