ECU students hold Peace Walk

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – A new East Carolina University organization held a peace walk on campus on Thursday night.

Dozens of students linked arms while walking from the Mendenhall Student Center to the ECU fountain.

The peace walk is the first event put on by the student group, the Coming Together Collective.”

“Whatever race, gender, or anything that you are, we are here in support of you.  We are going to do it in a peaceful way; but, we are going to be passionate about what we are doing, and we are going to stand up for that,” said group president Carly Judd.

Group organizers say they hope to show ECU students they can stand together despite their differences.
