WASHINGTON, N.C. (WNCT) – Three more people have been arrested and charged in the killing of a Washington man that took place in September.
On October 31, Beaufort County sheriff’s investigators charged Jermaine Norfleet, 25, and Zaquan Patrick, 16, both of Greenville with one count each of first-degree murder, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and first-degree burglary.
On November 3, the Greenville Police Department’s Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Jermaine Norfleet in connection to the shooting.
Deputies previously arrested 24-year-old Jeffrey Lamar Sawyer was arrested on September 9th and charged him with murder, first-degree burglary, and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon.
All four suspects are being held without bond, and deputies said one more arrest in expected in the case.
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office said 22-year-old Joshua Rashawn O’Neal was shot on Baker Drive in the River Road Estates Mobile Home Park off of River Road in Washington Thursday night.
Deputies and North Carolina Highway Patrol troopers responded to the scene where they found O’Neal. They began lifesaving efforts until emergency medical personnel arrived, but O’Neal was later pronounced dead at the scene.
