Arrests made in Pitt Co. armed robbery

STOKES, N.C. (WNCT) – Arrests have been made in an armed robbery that took place in Pitt County a few weeks ago, the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies said Clinton Speight was robbed at gunpoint on Oakley Road October 25 by two subjects carrying a shotgun and a handgun.

During the robbery, Speight fought back, took the shotgun from one of the suspects and chased them to a vehicle which they escaped in, said deputies.

The Sheriff’s Office said an investigation led to warrants being served to Donald Eakes, 43, and Michael Haddock, 20, at a traffic stop in Concord. Both men are facing armed robbery charges.

Another suspect, Dana Gouras, was served a warrant when she went to post bail for Eakes and Haddock in Concord.

Haddock was being held in lieu of $95,000 bail and Eakes was being held in lieu of $125,000 bail.
