Residents now stand guard over Alamance Co. GOP Headquarters

ALAMANCE CO., N.C. (WNCT) – Several residents are now standing guard of the Alamance County GOP Headquarters after it was vandalized on Friday.

This marked the second time in a month a North Carolina GOP headquarter was targeted by vandals.

Those protecting it said they are standing up for their First Amendment rights while exercising their Second Amendment rights.

“It’s respect thing,” said one man. “That’s what this country needs. It needs respect back. Respect for one another. Respect for law enforcement. Respect for our constitution.”

On Friday, a vandal threw a rock through the window while people were inside.
