Landlord robs tenants, claims they were late for rent

PASCO COUNTY, F.L. (WNCT) – Deputies in Florida have charged a man for allegedly robbing his tenants.

Deputies said 60-year-old Lynn Vineyard wore a ski mask and broke into his tenants unit and demanded Oxycodone. He later told deputies those same tenants were late to pay rent.

Vineyard told the tenants to stay put, or someone in the woods would shoot them.

“They were terrified, didn’t want me to leave until they left the property. They thought he was going to come back and I assured them that he was going to jail,” said Detective Todd Koenig.

Vineyard is now in jail under a $50,000 bond.
