GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Most of Greenville’s parks are back up and running.

The Recreation and Parks Department said it got a number of calls about the city’s off-leash dog park.

The facility is now fully operational, and lots of owners and their pups are taking advantage.

Frequent visitor Henry Raab said he is so glad the park is open again.

“(I’m) extremely happy considering I have a border collie — she’s high energy, so she needs to be run at least twice a day,” said Raab. “We’re not allowed to have them off-leash in the park over there, so it’s kind of hard when you have this high-energy dog and there’s nowhere for her to run around. She gets crazy.”

Some areas are still closed.
