Humane Society of Eastern North Carolina hosts 16th annual ‘Canine Crawl’

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT)- Four legged friends from around the east, put their paws together at the 16th annual Canine Crawl Sunday.

Hundreds of people and their pups gathered at the Greenville town common to raise money for the Humane Society of Eastern North Carolina.

9 On Your Side’s Maria Satira and Dontae Jones hosted the event.

Many animal advocators attended.. To bring attention to animals neglected in the community.

Volunteer coordinator Gina Dunn said seeing all types of dogs, and people of all ages, is wonderful. But one thing really stood out.

“My favorite part of this event is getting to see all of the rescues that have been adopted from us that have found their home that come out. It’s really great to interact with them and see how happy they are in their new homes,” said Dunn

All proceeds will go to the humane society, and aide in their efforts to rescue animals.
