Jacksonville dentistry collects candy for soldiers overseas

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT)  – No tricks in Jacksonville, just treats for soldiers overseas.

Lesan Family Dentistry is asking for families to drop off leftover, unopened Halloween candy.

The business hopes to collect 150 pounds of candy and handmade cards for U.S. Marines and soldiers.

“It’s all about the troops, so bring your candy in,” said Angie Lesan. “We’ll have you separate it into chocolate and non-chocolate, and you will receive a dollar-per-pound up to five pounds per child, and you’ll also get a raffle ticket to win one of these awesome prizes up here.”

You can drop off your candy from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. next Wednesday and Thursday at the Lesan Dentistry office.

It will be shipped off in November.
