Suspect and victim both identified in Tarboro fatal weekend shooting

Tarboro Police are searching for 20 year old Darius Juwan Council for first degree murder.

TARBORO, N.C. (WNCT)- The Tarboro Police Department is investigating a fatal Sunday shooting.

At 5:30 p.m. Sunday, officers with the Tarboro Police Department, Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office and NC Highway Patrol responded to a shooting at Pender Square Apartments, located at 500 Benson Drive. When officers arrived, they found 30 year old Reginald “Reggie” Alston suffering from several gun shot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police need your help locating the primary suspect, 20 year old Darius Juwan Council. He’s wanted for first degree murder.

Initial evidence suggests those involved knew each other and this is an isolated incident.
