Craven County NAACP holds ‘March to the Polls’

NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) – Dozens of voters stood up for early voting in New Bern Sunday.

As a part of the It’s Our Time — It’s Our Vote campaign, many gathered and marched to the polls, alongside the Craven County NAACP

Many held signs and said they came out to help keep the youth informed about their rights.

Terisha Singleton said it’s important to take advantage of early voting so you don’t procrastinate.

“I know there is a lot of people that will just sit home like oh I got time and then when the time comes they just won’t get out and vote period so I feel like if you go ahead and get out and vote early; you can go ahead and make your voice count, ” said Singleton

Early voting is available in North Carolina until November 5th.

Election Day is November 8th.
