FEMA to open Pitt County disaster recovery center

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – The Federal Emergency Management Agency will open a disaster recovery center in Pitt County, with operations beginning Saturday at noon.

The center will be located in the Pitt County Cooperative Extension Auditorium, located at 403 Government Circle, Suite 2, Greenville, NC 27834. The center will be open from Noon- 5:00pm on Saturday and assume its regular operating hours in the days following.

Regular operating hours for the DRC will be:
Sundays: Noon – 5:00pm
Mondays – Saturdays 9:00am – 7:00pm

Residents are encouraged to apply with FEMA before visiting the DRC if at all possible. Applications can be made at http://www.disasterassistance.gov, or by calling 800-621-3362 or (TTY) 800-462-7585.

Applicants who use 711 or Video Relay Service may also call 800-621-3362. The toll-free numbers are open 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. seven days a week. Multilingual operators are available.
