National Guard to play ball at Grainger Stadium

KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) – More than two dozen Army National Guard soldiers played a baseball game at historic Grainger Stadium on Wednesday.

The game started at 6:30 p.m. and gave the dedicated soldiers who worked long hours throughout Lenoir County a chance to have some fun.

The public was invited to cheer on the service members during the game. Fans were encouraged to bring a can of non-perishable food or make a monetary donation.

All food and money collected will be donated to the Lenoir-Greene United Way.
