Villa Verde, Ribeyes Steakhouse deliver free hot meals to shelters

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Greenville restaurant Villa Verde is partnering with Ribeyes Steakhouse to feed people at shelters and others in need of a hot meal.

Meals like pork chops, pork loin and tacos are on the menu.

Villa Verde owner Jay Bastardo said he owes it to the Greenville and Pitt County community because they were there when he needed someone.

“Two and a half years ago I was giving away tacos from my food truck so that people could get to know

Bastardo said he will continue his efforts throughout Pitt County every day until there is no longer a need.
