RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Republican Vice Presidential Candidate Mike Pence was back in North Carolina Wednesday night, this time in Raleigh.

He spoke at the North Raleigh Hilton.

Pence told the crowd this election is a choice between two futures. He says Hillary Clinton will not meet the country’s expectations.

“I choose a stronger America.  I choose a more prosperous America.  I choose an America that honors our constitution and our God-given liberties.  So I choose to stand with Donald Trump,” Pence said.

Pence did not bring up the tape that shows Donald Trump’s behind-the-scenes comments about women or how some Republican leaders now say they won’t campaign for Trump.

CBS North Carolina spoke one-on-one with Pence after the rally and he says he’s disappointed by Republican leaders who have chosen to focus their attention elsewhere.

“Paul Ryan is a good friend of mine.  I served with him for many years in congress.  But I’m someone who really believes that Republican leaders should be supporting the Republican candidate for president,” Pence said.
