Kinston Teens founder tapped to work with Facebook

KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) – Chris J. Suggs, the founder and CEO of Kinston Teens, has been tapped to serve on a Youth Advisory Board with Facebook.

The program, inspirED, is focused on utilizing social and emotional learning to create positive change in school climates. It’s a partnership between Facebook and Yale University Center for Emotional Intelligence. The inspirED program is focused on empowering students to create more positive school climates.

Suggs will serve on the board for the next year, helping to lead, provide support and develop ideas for the program.

Chris is already a student representative on the Lenoir 2020 Committee; a student representative on the NC Governor’s Crime Commission; a member of the NC Center for Safer School’s Youth Advisory Council; a member of Crisis Text Line’s Youth Advisory Council.
