President Obama signs disaster declaration for North Carolina

WASHINGTON (WNCT) – President Barack Obama has signed a disaster declaration for North Carolina that makes federal funding available to those affected by Hurricane Matthew.

The declaration covers ten counties in the state, including Beaufort, Edgecombe, Lenoir, Nash and Pitt counties. To read the entire text of the declaration, click here.

FEMA is still working to survey the damages across Eastern North Carolina.
