Minor damage in Pitt County as Matthew approaches the East

GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT) – Residents in Pitt County are starting to feel the effects of Hurricane Matthew.

In Greenville, a tree fell on top of a house. Minor damage was reported on the roof, and no one was injured.


Several other trees have already come down in the county. In Winterville, one tree came down in front of a house off Oak and Fourth Street.

Flooding is expected in this area. Greenville is under a State of Emergency until further notice.
