2 charged in Kinston stabbing

KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) – Two men are charged in connection with a Wednesday morning stabbing.

Kinston Police said it happened near the 5 Building of Mitchell Wooten Apts.

When officers arrived at the scene around 9 a.m. they found 33-year-old Lamar Arnold suffering from an apparent stab wound to his lower abdomen. Arnold was transported to Vidant Medical Center for treatment.

Deputies with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office picked up 21-year-old Anthony Lamont Mason and charged him with Assault With a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury. He was placed in the Lenoir County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond.

Officers with Kinston PD picked up 25-year-old Devon Trenon Cannon several hours after the incident, and charged him as an accessory to AWDWISI. He was placed in the Lenoir Count Jail under a $7,500 secured bond.
