Greenville Police investigate overnight break-in turned shooting

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT)- The Greenville Police Department is investigating a break in turned shooting.

The call came in around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday on the 1200 block of Presidio Lane, off Allen Road.

Officer Diggs tells 9 On Your Side 32-year-old Jasmine Andujar was allegedly trying to break into the home when one person inside the home shot him.

Andujar got in a car and sped off. Police later pulled him over at a traffic stop and took him to the hospital.

Andujar sustained a gunshot wound to the hip and police say his injuries aren’t serious.

Detectives with GPD say Andujar will be facing first degree burglary charges once released from the hospital.
