Charlotte police finally release last video

9OYS - Crime - Shooting - Officer Involved Shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WNCT) – Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have released the last video footage from the fatal officer involved shooting back in September.

Attorney Justin Bamberg represents the family of Keith Lamon Scott and said the latest video footage released by the police department sheds no new light on the situation. He also said questions remain over whether Scott was armed. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg police maintain he had a gun and that his fingerprints and DNA were found on the weapon.

“you know at the end of the day, the question still remains… the key question, whether this was a justified shooting or not,” said Bamberg.

Another attorney for the family, says police have been asked to release an inventory of the items seized from the shooting scene. So far, he says they’ve refused.
