Troopers identify 2 killed after motorcycle hit by 18-wheeler on N.C. 11


BETHEL, N.C. (WNCT) – Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident on N.C. 11.

Trooper B.A. Taylor said two people on a motorcycle were riding south on N.C. 11 toward Greenville when they were hit by an 18 wheeler just south of North Pitt High School.

Both victims were taken to Vidant Medical Center.

According to Trooper Ashley Smith, both the driver of the motorcycle and the passenger of the motorcycle died. They’ve been identified as 50-year-old Joseph Antonio Feliz Jr. of Bethel who was driving, and his passenger, 41-year-old Leslie Earl Haddock II of Greenville.

The driver of the 18 wheeler, Lynwood Dudley, said he never saw the motorcycle.

Troopers said alcohol and speed were not contributing factors in the accident.
