(MEDIA GENERAL) — According to National Taco Day‘s website, Americans consumed 4.5 billion tacos in 2015. A more visual representation would be tacos lined to the moon and back.

Taco Tuesday maybe be a weekly indulgence, but National Taco Day occurs once every year. These two together makes for an exciting day for taco lovers. National chains acknowledge the significance and want to join in on the festivities by offering major deals on the crunchy-sometimes soft- treat.
